9th Annual Greenwich Youth Film Festival #GYFF2020

Greenwich Botanical Center, in accordance with the Town’s mandate, is now closed to the public. This will remain in effect until further notice; all GBC events and classes through May 20th are suspended. Town updates on the Covid-19 response can be found here

The 9th Annual Greenwich Youth Film Festival (#GYFF2020), is the Fairchild Challenge Teen component, co-sponsored by the Greenwich Botanical Center, Greenwich Library, the Avon Theatre Film Center and Greenwich Arts Council, originated by the Junior League of Greenwich.

GYFF 2020 Films are accepted in the following genres:

Please note there is a $10 submission fee per film. 

Genres remain the same: Documentary (up to 7 minutes in length), Creative (up to 5 minutes in length), Animation (up to 3 minutes in length), Experimental (up to 5 minutes in length) and Social Action (up to 5 minutes in length)

Students again will upload their submissions to Vimeo and share film links with GBC at gyff@greenwichbotanicalcenter.org via forms. Each film submission is $10 to defray insurance/administration costs, with the exception of category Social Action films – admitted free; scholarships are available to those in need (please request at gyff@greenwichbotanicalcenter.org) Credit cards can be taken on Greenwich Botanical Center website or phone 203-869-9242, or checks can be mailed to Greenwich Botanical Center, P.O. Box 1600, Cos Cob CT 06807.  Submission deadline is midnight, April 20th 2020

  • Best Film Poster


Please create an 11″x17″ poster using portrait orientation in Google Slides or your preferred poster program (go to file>page setup>type 11″x17″).

Include the title of your video and your name(s).

Include Greenwich Youth Film Festival and 4-27-20.

Include tagline if you like.
