Aster novi-belgii "New York Aster"

About this plant

This northeastern native aster provides excellent late season color with occasional white flowers as well as purple with cheerful yellow centers. Its blooms August to October.

Height: 1-3 feet
Width: 1-2 feet
Benefits for pollinators: It is a host plant for the Pearl Crescent butterfly (Phyciodes tharos). New York Aster is one of the larval host plants of the Silvery Checkerspot butterfly and the Pearl Crescent butterfly.
