Beautiful Vegetable Garden Design with Florence Boogaerts

Come learn what makes a vegetable garden both beautiful and productive. Florence Boogaerts will walk through a variety of possible designs and approaches using images of gardens from around the world and her vast experience as a garden designer and teacher.

Since 1988, Florence Boogaerts was the landscape designer at Sprainbrook Nursery in Scarsdale, New York, where she designed and supervised the installation of gardens and landscapes. Since 2003, Boogaerts has had her own landscape design business. According to clients, Boogaerts strives to create maintainable and beautiful landscapes. "I like it when clients have something specific in mind. Then, I can give it to them in a tasteful, practical manner," she says. She received her certificate in landscape design from the New York Botanical Garden, where she has lectured since 1994.

This lecture is offered as a part of our Vegetable Gardening series presented in proud partnership with Greenwich Community Gardens.
