Join Jennifer Yates for a talk about Bunny Mellon and her life as a landscape designer. She will focus on her emergence as an important landscape designer, beginning with her childhood exposure to the Olmstead brothers, her redesign of the White House Rose Garden, her establishment of the Oak Spring Foundation and, finally, her legacy with regard to the importance of ecology and design.
Jennifer Yates has an artistic, architectural and landscape background, receiving her degrees at the Rhode Island School of Design and attending classes at the New York Botanical Garden. She currently practices landscape design for local companies as well as through Jennifer Yates Landscapes and has won several awards for her work.
