There's something deeply satisfying about tucking cloves into the soil in fall, knowing they're quietly working through winter to reward you with a bountiful harvest next summer. Join our Horticultural Education Director, Tiana Santasiere, for a hands-on workshop that will teach you everything you need to know to grow your own garlic and shallots at home.
You'll learn the ins and outs of clove selection, proper planting depth and spacing, soil preparation, and the care your crop will need through the colder months ahead. To make sure you leave ready to plant, we've got you covered — each participant will take home approximately one-third of a pound each of premium garlic and shallots, purchased in advance just for this workshop.
Whether you're a seasoned gardener looking to expand your fall planting repertoire or a curious beginner eager to grow your own kitchen staples, this workshop offers the perfect blend of expert guidance and practical takeaways. Come learn and set yourself up for a delicious harvest next summer!
