Discover how thoughtful garden design can elevate both your landscape and your summer cocktail gatherings. Join Bethany Naccarato, owner of Blueacre Garden, for a lively evening focused on the design, planning, and planting of a home cocktail garden—where beauty, fragrance, and flavor come together. Bethany will walk guests through the essentials of cocktail garden design, including plant selection, growing guidance, and layout strategies that balance aesthetics with easy harvest and maximum enjoyment. Participants will receive take-home plan renderings for two differently sized cocktail gardens, along with six cocktail recipes created to highlight fresh, garden-grown ingredients.
Immediately following the presentation, Bethany will demonstrate how to mix three popular summertime cocktails, with a tasting of each. Guests will enjoy cocktails on the terrace at Greenwich Botanical Center and have the opportunity to ask Bethany questions. Perfect for gardeners, design enthusiasts, and anyone who loves entertaining outdoors, this program offers inspiration from the garden bed to the cocktail glass.
About Bethany Naccarato:
Bethany M. Naccarato is an author, gardening educator, and owner of Blueacre Garden. A Connecticut native, Bethany found her passion for gardening at a young age growing vegetables with her grandparents and filling the beds at her childhood home with a variety of annual and perennial flowers. Bethie continued to pursue her passion in the classroom, becoming a Certified Master Gardener.
In 2023, Bethie launched her social media presence, @BlueacreGarden, on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube, where her followers learn best practices, solutions to common issues, and other advice to help them achieve the gardens of their dreams. Today, Bethie has over 500,000 followers across her social media channels and has been featured in The New York Times and gardening publication, The Spruce. She loves gardening at her home, "Blueacre," where she grows a variety of organic heirloom vegetables, and annual and perennial flowers including peonies, zinnias, and dahlias.

Join the Greenwich Dahlia Society for a private, self-guided tour of two stunning member gardens in the Croton-on-Hudson area.
Our first stop is a breathtaking one-acre property featuring dozens of meticulously maintained beds and an incredible collection of over 300 dahlias in bloom. What began in 2018 with a single dahlia plant from a local Home Depot has grown into a truly spectacular display, a testament to one gardener's passion and dedication.
Our second garden transforms an entire sloped front yard into a vibrant dahlia showcase, with an amazing assortment of varieties that is sure to inspire.
Both gardens are not to be missed at peak bloom season!

Join us for a walk with Dan Brubaker, Director of Conservation and Outreach at Greenwich Land Trust, looking at invasive plant identification and management. We'll walk the GBC grounds, identify some of the more common invasive plants here in Greenwich, and discuss various ways to manage them on your own property. We'll touch on how different species spread, why certain species become invasive, and the role that deer and disturbance play in our local habitats.
About Dan Brubaker:
Dan Brubaker is the Director of Conservation and Outreach at Greenwich Land Trust (GLT). Dan's background and education is in Conservation Biology with a Masters of Science in Natural Resources from New Hampshire University. Since joining GLT Dan has built out their Seed-to-Seed program working to propagate native plants from local seed for use in habitat restoration. His current focus is finding ways for landowners to develop habitat friendly landscapes, and promoting the use of locally adapted native plants.

Join Laura Berkowitz Gilbert of Tocco Studio to explore the process of bundle dyeing—a technique that uses steam to release pigment directly from plant material onto cloth. It’s equal parts chemistry and surprise, with each piece revealing its own layered composition of color, shape, and pattern. As an added benefit, this method uses far less water than a traditional dyebath.
In this workshop, each participant will create their own naturally dyed white silk bandana using botanicals, leaves, flowers, and pigments. We’ll begin by arranging plant materials directly onto the silk before folding, wrapping, and binding the fabric into a tight bundle. Once steamed, the plants leave behind their direct imprint—soft silhouettes, unexpected color shifts, and organic patterns that make every piece completely unique.
Along the way, we’ll talk about the plants themselves, how different fibers respond to natural dyes, and some of the beautiful unpredictability that makes this process so compelling.
No prior experience is necessary—this workshop is designed for complete beginners as well as anyone curious about natural dyeing and working with textiles. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to experiment, and see what unfolds. Suggested for ages 18+.
Tocco Studio creates naturally dyed fiber art and home goods that bring the quiet beauty of the natural world into your home — artfully, sustainably, and with intention. Laura Berkowitz Gilbert is the artist behind Tocco Studio. Her work begins in the dye pot — using materials like organic indigo, cochineal, and even avocado pits to coax rich, complex color from nature. These pigments are layered onto fiber speaking not only to aesthetics, but to process, place, and care.

Join us for a fun-filled day of outdoor exploration, scavenger hunts, animal tracking, and collecting treasures for arts and crafts. Meditation and Intention-Setting with Dr. Nancy Boksenbaum
As the Autumn Equinox ushers in a season of balance, stillness, and inward reflection, join Dr. Nancy Boksenbaum for a contemplative gathering that invites nature to serve as guide and oracle. Rooted in the rhythms of the changing season, this experience encourages participants to slow down, listen deeply, and set intentions inspired by the quieter months ahead. An essential element of this reflection is taking the opportunity to let go what no longer serves us during the pivotal change of season.
The program will include a guided meditation with reflective prompts, a free-writing circle, and optional sharing and discussion. Participants are invited to bring a personal autumn remembrance from nature, such as a leaf, seed, or stone to anchor their reflections. All are welcome. No prior meditation or writing experience is necessary, just curiosity and a willingness to connect with the natural world.
About Dr. Nancy Boksenbaum:
Dr. Nancy Boksenbaum is a Clinical Psychologist, Adult Psychoanalyst and Mindfulness Meditation Teacher. Dr. Boksenbaum has a private practice in Stamford, Connecticut where she works with children, adolescents and their parents, individual adults and couples.
Dr. Boksenbaum leads Mindfulness Meditation programs in the workplace, home, and community. Recent programs include "Optimal Activation: Recognize, Regulate and Master Your Stress Response," "Mindful MOMents: Conscious and Compassionate Parenting," and "Awaken Your Senses at Greenwich Point." She learned to meditate at age eleven. Dr. Boksenbaum is a member of the American Psychological Association, the International Association for Self Psychology, and The McLean Meditation Institute, previous Fairfield County Representative of the Connecticut Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology, and serves as
Secretary of the Board of the Friends of Greenwich Point.
