Celebrate the season of renewal and reconnect with the natural world in this hands-on, two-hour workshop with naturopathic physician and herbalist Dr. Lindsay Chimileski. This immersive experience invites you to explore the rich abundance of wild foods and medicinal plants that thrive in Connecticut.
Learn the foundations of herbalism and plant safety, how to identify native and invasive species, and the principles of ethical, sustainable harvesting. During a guided nature walk, participants will discover local herbs, gather abundant invasive plants, and gain practical skills for transforming them into simple, effective herbal preparations, such as tinctures, teas, vinegars, and topicals.
We’ll end the afternoon by crafting two take-home remedies: a revitalizing fire cider and a flavorful wild pesto, celebrating the nourishment and medicine our landscape provides.
Perfect for beginners, gardeners, and plant enthusiasts alike, this workshop offers a beautiful way to learn to live in deeper harmony with the land.
