Saturday, December 16 | 10-12 am

The Winter Solstice is upon us mid-December and it is a great time to add light to our home - and lives - with home-made luminaries! In this session, children will be guided in crafting a collection of illuminated upcycled material bases. Kids will be coached in using a variety of "punch-patterning" techniques, using kid-friendly hole punches and teacher assisted drill-pressing for patterning. 

Class time includes a themed story-time; where we will discuss the changes in the season and the shortening of daylight hours in the winter days.  

Come dressed for the weather and loads of creative play! 

Kids will build, personalize, pattern and take home a mini collection of luminaires at the end of class. All materials will be provided.
